Even by 10:30am the sun was baking the ground. I headed straight to the greenhouse to place two new trays of plants, Purple Sprouting Broccoli and Lettuce, v. Tuska, on my shelf in the communal greenhouse.
It was then off to my shed to clean it out. I’ve given this old shed to a fellow plot holder because my new shed is arriving later in the week. It was already hitting around 20*c by 11am so it was slow work when the time came to move the shed.
Rather than take it apart, the general thinking was that with a person at each corner, it would be possible to just lift the shed and walk it to the new location, around 4 plots away.
With a lot of huffing-and-puffing we finally made our destination with the shed intact. I don’t want to do that again in a hurry I can tell you.
Back on my plot there was this empty hole, making the site look much bigger than it is. After lunch the temperature was reaching 22*c and I decided to call it a day and head home.
Hopefully the temperature will drop a bit before I start cleaning the land and digging out an area for the new shed foundations. What a day. My tan is coming along very nicely. Now, time for a cuppa tea.
